Description
Lordosis vest U73. Correct body posture is one that ensures optimal stability, requires minimal muscle effort to maintain it vertically, and creates conditions for optimal arrangement of internal organs. Correct posture is characterized by:
simple head position
physiological bends of the spine in the sagittal plane and a straight spine in the frontal plane
well arched chest
arms gently retracted in relation to the pelvis
symmetrical position of the pelvis
Therefore, it is very important that the person sitting in the wheelchair has the correct support. There are three basic support surfaces: back buttocks and lower limbs. U73Neo belts are used to correct and stabilize the torso with:
permanent pathological lordosis of the spine
anterior pelvic deflection
hip flexor tension
low trunk muscle tension
weakness and reduction of muscle performance
PURPOSE OF VEST APPLICATIONS:
to guarantee main support along the sternum
reduce lordosis and forward pelvic deflection
natural positioning of the torso above the pelvis and stretching the shoulder blades forward, improving respiratory ability
for people actively bending the torso use neoprene vests allow for greater freedom of movement while maintaining proper stability and posture correction
some people to effectively reduce lordosis require additional support in the area of the lower ribs and abdomen.
Vest are in two versions, wide and narrow, especially for women. As standard, all upper body stabilizing vests are supplied with adjustable front tension, which allows the person sitting in the wheelchair to adjust the tension independently. It is possible to supply belts and waistcoats with back adjustment when it is not advisable for the patient to have access to self-tension adjustment. It is recommended for such deformations as the use of the U75 four-point hip belt in parallel described above. THE BELT AND VEST SELECTION METHOD: Shoulder width should be measured taking into account to change weight, height, and thicker clothing.
